ICYMI: New CfG Ad On Kansas Redistricting
Group Plans To Spend 7-Figures On Redistricting Across The Country
Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, Club for Growth launched its latest redistricting ad, pushing lawmakers in Kansas to redraw the state’s congressional map. The ad will run statewide this Sunday on morning public affairs shows. Kansas is now the fourth state where Club for Growth has engaged in the nationwide redistricting fight, following successful efforts to redraw maps in Texas and Missouri and an ongoing campaign in Indiana. Club for Growth has also run phone campaigns in each state, urging constituents to contact their representatives. The Hill’s Caroline Vakil covered the launch in an exclusive report.
“Democrats have spent decades gerrymandering their states to keep Republicans out of Congress. Now, Republicans are finally on offense when it comes to redistricting and the Left is panicking,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth is working closely with legislators in Kansas, as well as leaders in other states, to pass redistricting, and we are planning to spend $1 million to push back on radicals, like Gov. Newsom, whose policies have left Republicans underrepresented in the U.S. House.”

EXCERPTS:
The influential conservative group Club for Growth is airing a new ad starting Sunday pressing Republican state legislators in Kansas to support redistricting efforts that could weaken the chances of Rep. Sharice Davids (D) holding her congressional seat in Kansas.
“We’ve seen this movie before: Liberals trying to rig elections. California Democrats rewriting district lines, setting the stage to award Democrats control of Congress. It’s time for the heartland to write its own script,” a narrator says in the 30-second ad, which was first shared with The Hill.
“We can’t let big state Democrats silence the voices of Kansas voters,” the narrator continues. “State Republicans are teaming up with President Trump to fight back with a plan to pass new maps for Kansas. Tell legislators: Restore fairness and support fair maps.”
The conservative group plans to air the new ad on morning public affairs shows statewide. The group previously pledged at least $1 million toward supporting Republicans’ efforts to redraw House maps and has run ads in Indiana and Missouri as well.
