KEY VOTE ALERT – NO on the Every Child Achieves Act (S.1177)

NO on the Every Child Achieves Act (S.1177)

The Club for Growth urges all Senators to vote NO on the Every Child Achieves Act (S.1177). This vote is expected today and will be included in the Club for Growth’s 2015 Congressional Scorecard. This bill is a reauthorization of the No Child Left Behind Act. It does not do nearly enough to reduce the federal government’s burdensome role in education. It fails to give states the opportunity to opt out of NCLB, and it maintains federal education mandates, thus continuing to rob states and local school districts of control and flexibility.

Our Congressional Scorecard for the 114th Congress provides a comprehensive rating of how well or how poorly each member of Congress supports pro-growth, free-market policies and will be distributed to our members and to the public.
