#ICYMI: Club for Growth Action Launches Ad Highlighting Katie Britt’s Support of Massive Tax Hikes

  |

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In case you missed it, Club for Growth Action launched a new, hard-hitting ad, “Offsides,” in Alabama’s Republican Senate Primary, highlighting Katie Britt’s support of a $300 million, 10-cent-a-gallon gas tax hike.

“Katie Britt along with the Establishment want to distract Alabamians from the truth: that she has a long history of supporting higher taxes that have hurt Alabama families and jobs,” said Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth PAC is proud to support Mo Brooks, who has the endorsement of President Trump and is the only true conservative in the race.”

The ad will run after the Iron Bowl in the Montgomery media market.

Yellowhammer’s Jeff Poor wrote an exclusive report on the new ad.

Excerpts:

“It was a matter of time, but Club for Growth [Action] has entered the fray for Alabama U.S. Senate up for grabs in 2022.

Club for Growth Action, the federal super PAC associated with the Washington, D.C.- based Club for Growth [PAC], who has endorsed U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville), has fired its first salvo at former Business Council of Alabama head Katie Britt.”

“‘Wouldn’t it be nice if politics had clear lines like football? Look at Katie Britt. Whose side is she on? Britt worked for Democrat mayor Steve Reed’s transition team when he took over in Montgomery that pushed a ton of liberal policies, including massive tax increases. And Britt backed a $300 million, 10-cent-a-gallon gas tax hike. Katie Britt: If you’re a Trump conservative, she’s not on your team.’”
