Matt Van Epps

Biography

Matt Van Epps is a West Point graduate, decorated helicopter pilot, and Lieutenant Colonel in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He continues to serve as a reservist while fighting for conservative principles at home. He served in the Tennessee state government as Commissioner of the Department of General Services and Deputy COO in the Governor’s Office, where he worked on reforms in education, veteran services, and economic development.

A fiscal hawk and defender of limited government, Matt supports the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, tax cuts, and Medicaid reforms. He wants to abolish the death tax, advance a Balanced Budget Amendment, and end wasteful omnibus spending and earmarks. Guided by the principles of less regulation and more freedom, Matt is ready to take the fight for Tennessee values to Washington.
