Club for Growth PAC Congratulates Matt Van Epps on TN-07 Victory

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth PAC congratulates Matt Van Epps on winning the special election for Tennessee’s 7^th Congressional District. Van Epps, a West Point graduate and decorated combat veteran, defeated Democratic State Representative Aftyn Behn in the race to replace retired Rep. Mark Green. Club for Growth Action and its affiliated School Freedom Fund invested over $1.3 million into the race, securing Van Epps the Republican nomination and hitting Behn on her comments disparaging law enforcement and condoning rioters.

“Matt Van Epps is a conservative fighter who has dedicated his life to serving his country. Now, he will head to Capitol Hill and represent his district with the free-market principles Tennesseans deserve,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “Unlike his former opponent, Van Epps loves the district he represents, supports members of law enforcement, and will be a voice of reason in Congress.
