Upon release of the ad, Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh remarked, “John Joyce can try to masquerade as a Republican on the campaign trail, but he cannot hide from his history of donating to liberal politicians who opposed President Trump and special interests that defended Obamacare.  Republican primary voters deserve to know the truth about liberal John Joyce.”

“Misgivings”

If you want a Congressman who’ll stand with President Trump, you don’t want John Joyce.

Joyce donated fifteen hundred dollars to the PAC of an outfit that defended Obamacare . . .

Joyce even backed liberal Democrat Ed Rendell who attacked the Trump tax cut and called President Trump quote, frightening.

John Joyce.  Wrong about Trump.  Wrong for Congress.

Club for Growth Action Unveils Ads for Matt Rosendale for Senate

Rachael Slobodien - May 03rd, 2018

Today, Club for Growth Action announced the release of a 30-second television ad that began airing on broadcast, cable, and satellite throughout the state of Montana and a 15-second digital ad.  This marks the first phase of independent expenditures by Club for Growth Action in Montana.

Upon release of the ads, Club for Growth President David McIntosh remarked, “Unlike Jon Tester who is determined to undermine President Trump, Matt Rosendale has proven he’ll be a strong advocate to fight for President Trump’s agenda in the Senate.

“Jon Tester has opposed President Trump on key issues ranging from Tester’s opposition to President Trump’s nominees, like Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, to his standing in the way of Obamacare repeal and voting against tax cuts for hardworking Montanans,” McIntosh concluded.

To date, Club for Growth PAC has bundled nearly $300,000 dollars for Matt Rosendale’s campaign, while Club for Growth Action has spent over $550,000 on independent expenditures in Montana. Last month, Club for Growth PAC released poll results that showed Matt Rosendale holds a resounding lead over his competitors in Montana’s Republican primary. In fact, Rosendale has the support of two-in-five likely Republican primary voters.

The Same Cloth

Donald Trump is not your typical politician. Matt Rosendale isn’t, either.

They aren’t in it for the money.

Rosendale opposed and rejected that pay raise for state officials in 2017. He’s only statewide official who turned the money down.

Both are strong against Obamacare.

In fact, Matt Rosendale led the fight against Obamacare in the Montana Senate and as State Auditor.

This year: Send a Trump Republican to the Senate. Conservative Matt Rosendale.

Club for Growth Action Releases Ad in OH-12

Rachael Slobodien - May 01st, 2018

Today Club for Growth Action, a political arm of the Club for Growth, announced the release of a 15-second television ad that began airing today on cable and broadcast television in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District.

Club for Growth Action’s new ad, “Critical Condition,” highlights Troy Balderson’s liberal leanings and support for Obamacare in Ohio.

Upon release of the ad, Club for Growth President David McIntosh noted, “Balderson is a fake Republican who runs as a conservative, but isn’t one.  He would only contribute to the Congressional foot-dragging on Obamacare and the Trump economic agenda that has frustrated so many voters.  A Democrat-Lite candidate like Balderson won’t hold this seat.  Voters here want change, not more excuses and inaction.”

Club for Growth Applauds Senate Vote to Roll Back Obama-Era Auto-Lending Regulation

Rachael Slobodien - April 18th, 2018

Today, Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to disapprove of a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rule on indirect auto lending.  At the request of Senator Toomey, the Government Accountability Office recently confirmed the Club’s position that the Obama-era interagency guidance is akin to formal rule-making authority.  Club for Growth has long been a proponent of Congress aggressively using the Congressional Review Act to its full extent, including to repeal Obama-era interagency guidances.  As a Congressman, Club for Growth President David McIntosh was the lead author of the CRA when it passed in 1996.

“Club for Growth applauds Senator Pat Toomey’s work to rein in the harmful legacy of the Obama Administration’s regulatory state,” stated Club for Growth President David McIntosh.

“Today’s Congressional Review Act vote of disapproval corrects an egregious overreaching by the CFPB in the area of auto-lending.  This effort adds a significant notch to the deregulatory efforts of the Republican Congress and Trump Administration.  Club for Growth urges the Senate and House to continue to bring up measures to roll back other onerous regulations and guidances that were so pervasive in the Obama Administration.”
