Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth Action congratulates Andy Ogles on winning the Republican primary in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional district.

“Once the candidate field in Tennessee’s 5th district was finalized, it was clear that Andy Ogles was the only real conservative candidate in the race, and we are very excited to have him emerge victorious in the Republican primary,” said Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh. “Ogles’ commitment to school choice and free-market values makes him the perfect candidate to restore pro-growth policies to Tennessee, and the voters made that clear today”

Club for Growth Action’s allied School Freedom Fund combined with USA Freedom Fund to spend over $1.6 million in the race on a series of ads highlighting Ogles as the pro-growth candidate while also informing voters the other candidates in the Republican field had strong financial ties to the Democratic party and teachers unions.
