Club for Growth PAC Congratulates Alex Mealer on TX-09 Primary Runoff Victory

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth PAC congratulates Alex Mealer on her Republican primary runoff victory in Texas’ 9th Congressional District. Mealer, a West Point graduate, combat veteran, and small business owner, defeated Texas State Rep. Briscoe Cain to advance to the general election. President Donald Trump also endorsed Mealer in the race.

“Alex Mealer is a proven conservative fighter whose time in the United States Army and the financial sector make her the perfect candidate to represent Texas’ 9th Congressional District,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth PAC is proud to have played a role in Mealer’s victory tonight, and we are ready to ensure she wins in November.”

Club for Growth Action and its affiliated Win It Back PAC invested over $1.1 million across a series of ads supporting Mealer’s candidacy in the race. These ads informed voters of President Trump’s endorsement of Mealer in the race. Club for Growth PAC members contributed $44,609 directly to the Mealer campaign.
