CLUB FOR GROWTH PAC CONGRATULATES NICK FREITAS ON SECURING VA-07 NOMINATION

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Club for Growth PAC issued the following statement congratulating Virginia Delegate Nick Freitas on securing the Republican nomination for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District at the Republican convention.

“Nick Freitas is a veteran, a principled, pro-growth conservative, and the right candidate to defeat Pelosi loyalist Rep. Abigail Spanberger,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “We congratulate him on being nominated and look forward to supporting him through victory in November.”

In 2019, Club for Growth released an analysis of the voting records of newly elected Democrat members of the House of Representatives in districts that were previously held by Republicans. Rep. Spanberger has voted with Speaker Nancy Pelosi 92.86% of the time and with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 89.23% of the time.

Club for Growth PAC endorsed Freitas in December of 2019. Club for Growth Action has raised more than $2 million to support Freitas’s candidacy in the general election.

Club for Growth Action has spent $275,808 on the race, and Club for Growth members have contributed more than $219,188 directly to Freitas’ campaign through the Club for Growth PAC.
