Club for Growth PAC Congratulates Ted Budd on NC-SEN Primary Victory

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth PAC Congratulates Rep. Ted Budd on winning the Republican Nomination for United States Senate in North Carolina, defeating former Governor Pat McCrory.

“Club for Growth PAC is proud to have played a role in helping Rep. Ted Budd secure the nomination,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “North Carolina voters understood that Budd was the only principled conservative in the race and he will stand up to Biden’s radical socialist agenda.”

In total, Club for Growth Action and the allied School Freedom Fund spent over $12 million in the race to launch a media campaign highlighting President Trump’s endorsement of Budd while informing voters of McCrory’s record as Governor of North Carolina. Prior to Club for Growth PAC’s endorsement, Budd was trailing McCrory by 35.3 points according to polling conducted at the time. Club for Growth donors gave $291,638 directly to the Budd campaign.
