Club for Growth PAC Endorses Fred Keller in PA-12

  |

Club for Growth PAC endorsed State Rep. Fred Keller in the special election to fill Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District. The general election will be held on May 21, 2019. This is Club for Growth PAC’s first non-incumbent endorsement of the 2020 cycle.

Rep. Keller is a conservative reformer and has a proven record of putting taxpayers first. He swore off state-provided healthcare, mileage, and per diems, and posts his office’s costs online. He has also refused a state pension and sends the checks from his automatic pay raises to the counties he represents in the legislature.

Keller faces Democrat Marc Friedenberg who lost to Rep. Marino in the 2018 cycle 34% – 66%. The district is rated R+17.

“Fred Keller is exactly the kind of conservative reformer we need in Washington,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “While other politicians put themselves first, Rep. Keller has stood up for taxpayers and bucked the status quo. His refusal to partake in taxpayer-funded perks demonstrates his sense of principle and commitment. His voting record in the Pennsylvania legislature also gives a strong indication he will be a fighter for economic freedom and opportunity. Congress can definitely use more of those qualities.”
