Club for Growth PAC Polling: Massie In Overwhelmingly Strong Position To Win Primary If Challenged

  |

Today, Club for Growth PAC released poll results that show conservative Congressman Thomas Massie in an overwhelmingly strong position to win a Republican primary if challenged by moderate State Representative Kim Moser. The poll shows Massie leads Moser by 54 points, 64% to 10%, in a potential primary match-up.

“Rep. Thomas Massie is one of the most effective voices for pro-growth policies in Congress,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “As reports come out that the Washington Establishment is recruiting moderate Kim Moser to run against Massie in the primary, this poll shows that Kentucky voters clearly prefer Massie, the obvious conservative choice.”

The poll was conducted by WPA Intelligence (WPAi) for Club for Growth PAC. WPAi conducted a poll of n = 400 likely Republican primary election voters in Kentucky CD 4. Interviews were conducted using a combination of IVR telephone call to landline phones (56% of interviews) and live telephone interviews on cell phones (44% of interviews) on July 8-9, 2019. The survey has a margin of error of +4.9%. Sample was selected from the Kentucky voter file with the probability of selection being equal to the probability of voting in the primary election in WPAi’s turnout model for this race. Sample was stratified by age, gender, and geography to ensure accurate representation of the district.
