ICYMI: ‘Sick Man’ Jay Jones Wants Republicans Dead
Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, Club for Growth Action released a new ad informing Virginia voters about horrific text messages sent by Democrat Attorney General Candidate Jay Jones, where he fantasized about Republican lawmakers being shot. In the texts, Jones said, “(Former Republican Speaker of the House Todd) Gilbert gets two bullets in the head,” and wished Gilbert’s wife could watch her child die in her arms. Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh first posted the ad on X.
“Jay Jones is a sick individual who clearly needs help. His comments are disqualifying, and he should drop out of the race immediately,” said Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh. “It is appalling that Virginia Democrats, including Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Abigail Spanberger, continue to defend Jones and have not pulled their endorsements. Left-wing political violence is a cancer and has no place in our society.”
