MCCRORY’S FRAGILITY CONFIRMED

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth PAC released a new poll showing Rep. Ted Budd is ahead of former Gov. Pat McCrory by four points in the North Carolina Senate Republican primary. McClatchy’s Francesca Chambers published an exclusive report on the release of the poll.

“Pat McCrory’s past policies, statements, and ethical questions are understandably making voters question his campaign. Meanwhile Ted Budd is a proven and principled conservative with a record who has the support of President Trump – the choice is clear,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh.

The poll shows Budd leads McCrory 47% to 43%, despite having significantly lower name ID than McCrory at just 60% statewide name ID for Budd and 91% for McCrory. Additionally. in the Greensboro market, where Club for Growth Action has run just two weeks of broadcast advertising pointing out McCrory’s history of anti-Trump statements, McCrory’s unfavorable ratings have already climbed to 42%, just one point behind his 43% favorable rating. McCrory is a fragile man.
