No-Show McMullin Campaign Still Silent On Deposition Scheduling

  |

Evan McMullin, his campaign, and legal team are continuing to use Utah courts to censor Utah TV and Club for Growth Action from mentioning McMullin’s past attacks on Republicans by avoiding scheduling a deposition to answer for his frivolous and false accusations.

“McMullin’s lawyers have time to do media interviews but they don’t have time to check their client’s schedule? It’s clear that McMullin is hiding from the court process,” said Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh. “Since McMullin first began using Utah courts to censor speech, he and his legal team have done just about everything except tell us when he’s available for a deposition.”

Club for Growth Action filed their response 10 days ago, and are still awaiting a proposed alternate deposition date. McMullin lawyer Bobby Harrington claimed in a KSL interview that, “the deposition should take place on a day that works for all the parties in this lawsuit.” Club for Growth Action’s attorneys have said they are available, but they are still waiting for a proposed date from McMullin’s legal team.
