RINO Speaker Phelan Worked To Save DEI & Kill School Freedom In Texas

Last week, Texas House Rep. Brian Harrison spoke out against Speaker Dade Phelan’s work to save DEI in Texas. Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh released the following statement.

“RINO Speaker Phelan preserved DEI in Texas while at the same time killing school choice for Texans across the state. Phelan has consistently put the radical socialist agenda ahead of Texas families, and Texas voters will hold him accountable for it on election day.” – David McIntosh, President, Club for Growth Action. 

The Club for Growth Action affiliated School Freedom Fund spent $4 million in the primary against incumbents who failed to support Gov. Abbot’s school freedom legislation, 7 incumbents were defeated and 5 went to runoff.

Club for Growth Action recently released a new TV ad highlighting Phelan’s liberal record.

Club for Growth Action has reserved $4 million in 5 districts for the TX state house primary runoffs.
