School Freedom Fund Ousts WV Anti School Freedom Finance Chair, Helps 12 Conservatives Win Primaries
Washington, D.C. – School Freedom Fund, which is affiliated with Club for Growth Action, helped 12 conservative champions win their West Virginia legislative primaries on Tuesday with 8 races still too close to call. One of those conservatives, Charles Hartzog, defeated outspoken school freedom opponent and incumbent House Finance Chairman Vernon Criss
School Freedom Fund invested over $1 million in the primaries, and the results will support Governor Patrick Morrisey’s pro-growth and pro school choice policy.
“We congratulate the 12 principled West Virginia conservatives we supported who have been declared winners,” said School Freedom Fund President David McIntosh. “These elections are a warning to Republican leaders like Vernon Criss – if you oppose school freedom, expect to be held accountable. We are proud to stand with Governor Morrisey and the voters in West Virginia who want bold conservative leaders rather than RINOs.”
Club for Growth Action and affiliated PACs invested $13.1 million supporting Patrick Morrisey’s campaign for governor in 2024.
