Club for Growth PAC Endorses Warren Davidson for Boehner House Seat (OH-08)

In a race filled with political insiders and conservative wannabes, Davidson is the true conservative outsider

Washington, DC – The Club for Growth PAC today announced its endorsement of businessman Warren Davidson for the U.S. House from Ohio’s 8th Congressional District. The seat was held by Speaker John Boehner prior to his retirement in October.

“In a crowded field, Warren Davidson stands out as the premier economic conservative,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Warren is successful in business, has served his country, and holds a resolute commitment to free markets. He’s also never held elected office, so he hasn’t voted for a tax increase, a big-spending budget, or an expansion of Obamacare. While other candidates in the field want to climb the political ladder to fill John Boehner’s establishment shoes, Warren Davidson is the true conservative outsider.”

This endorsement marks the Club for Growth PAC’s fourth House endorsement in the 2016 cycle. The Club’s PAC has already endorsed:

Jim Banks for the open IN-03 seat

Jim Duncan, who is challenging Renee Ellmers in NC-02

Kyle McCarter, who is challenging John Shimkus in IL-15

“March 15 is circled in red on this year’s primary calendar,” added McIntosh. “The Club for Growth PAC is working to see three true conservatives – Davidson, Duncan, and McCarter – take over seats that have been firmly in the hands of the Republican establishment.”
