SFF Defeats At Least 3 RINO Incumbents, Elects 11 Conservatives in Montana State Legislative Primaries

  |

Washington, D.C. – School Freedom Fund helped at least 11 Montana state legislative candidates win their Republican primaries Tuesday, while defeating at least 3 incumbent RINO legislators: Sen. Shelly Vance and Representatives Curtis Cochran and John Fitzpatrick. Conservative candidates are currently ahead in 2 additional races that have yet to be called. School Freedom Fund, which is affiliated with Club for Growth, invested $1.4 million in the races to ensure support for school freedom in the next legislative session.

“While RINOs from across Montana turned to George Soros and progressive groups to bankroll their campaigns, voters saw through the charade and sent a message to their elected officials. School Freedom Fund is proud to stand with principled conservatives who stood up to the Helena establishment and were rewarded by Montanans Tuesday night. Any Republican who sides with Democrats to oppose school freedom, regardless of their office, should expect to lose their next election.” – School Freedom Fund President David McIntosh.

Earlier this election cycle, School Freedom Fund invested over $1 million into West Virginia’s State Legislative primaries to elect 12 school choice champions in the Mountaineer State. These efforts followed 2024 campaigns in both Texas and Tennessee, where School Freedom Fund defeated 14 Republicans who opposed school freedom.
