“The sugar program is an outrageous form of corporate welfare. Now is the time to start winding it down,” said Club for Growth Vice President of Government Affairs Andy Roth. “Congress should focus on comprehensive solutions to grow our economy instead of propping up industries with the best political connections. It’s time to end the sweet deal for Big Sugar and this bipartisan Senate amendment is a step in the right direction.”
